HISTORY

Intertrade S.A. was founded in June 1961 and it begun to trade in September of that year. During the past 44 years it has focused on foreign trade and mainly to import various types of objects according to the market circumstances and import availability.

A very constant feature since the beginning of trading activity, has been the importation of carpets of different origins. Starting in 1962 and for several years we were the sole Spanish distributor of Hand Made and Machine Made Rumanian Carpets which became the most competitive and well known in our market. As soon as the possibility of obtaining import Licences from different origins was available Intertrade S.A. begun distributing Hand Made Carpets from traditional Countries such as Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Soviet Republics, China, etc.

After this long lasting activity in the carpet sector - we are probably the oldest Company in Spain in this sector - Intertrade S.A. has obtained a huge clients list through out Spain. Without mentioning any one in particular who at present put their trust in our Company, we can say that for several years we had the exclusivity of selling to Galerias Preciados, via deposit basis, until the end of that firm.

Recently we have begun to sell and distribute Natural Leathers and Hand Made Leather Carpets with an increase in sales repeated several times in any given year by introducing new models, shapes, colours and patterns in order to offer a huge variety.

Intertrade S.A. has always been and is to date a family business both in terms of its management and its capital. Today, the founder together with the second generation of the family are in full control of the Company. The stability and dedication of the staff is to be praised given that some of the employees have been working with the company since its foundation.

The solid reputation and financial solvency of Intertrade S.A. is proved by its Suppliers, Clients and Banks with whom Intertrade S.A. has been dealing with from the beginning up to present time. From our Suppliers, we can get such a good price conditions and terms of payments which we can transfer to our Customers. On the other hand, the fact that Intertrade S.A. does not need any external financial help and that the premises belong to the Company make us extremely competitive while maintaining top quality standards.
